Grahams' Profile

Graham began his career in banking after leaving school in 1967 when he joined the ANZ.  There, he worked his way through the ranks, travelling extensively throughout South Australia and the Northern Territory working in the areas of finance and audit before leaving, for a short term position as Administrator for a Private Nursing home in Norwood.  After a time, he joined a firm of Chartered Accountants in Dulwich whilst studying part time both at TAFE and University for his formal accounting qualifications.  In1998, Graham then moved to Strathalbyn to work for a Public Accounting practise, before venturing out on his own in 2000, when he opened Holland and Associates in Mount Barker.  From the humble beginnings in his office at home, he then moved to his current location in Stephen Street, where his practise now operates from.

Along with his extensive career in finance and accounting, Graham has been an active member of the Community and of the Accounting Profession.  He has been involved in the Lions Club for over 30 years and since 1982, a Fellow  of the Taxation Insititute of Australia.  He also sat on the board of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA, formally NIA)  both for the SA/NT sub -divisions and the National committee, which represents over 15,000 members nationally and internationally.  His roles included  being chairman of the National Membership Policy Committee, and as the IPA representative on the South Australian Joint legislative Review committee, to ambassador and representative to  RMIT Ho chi Minh City campus in Vietnam, for the IPA in recent years.

The wealth of knowledge in accounting, business and finance Graham has acquired over the years, is a strong foundation for providing his clients with the expertise and personal service that they require.  Graham strives to improve not only himself and that of his practise, but also aims to be actively involved (where time permits in his busy schedule) as part of the community of the hills region.
